3D Printing | November 11, 2016 | While I don't care about either candidate, I had $1k in favor of Trump winning, so I did okay ;)
The U.S Election was certainly hit with the Shy Tory Factor and was oddly reminiscent of the 1948 election between Dewey and Truman.
My advice: never depend on a politician for your well being.
Anyway, in this week's digest, we will be covering:
1.) Tend.ai raising $2M 2.) Sony's new patents 3.) Unfortunate accidents 4.) 3D Printing textiles 5.) Some crowdfunding campaigns 6.) Printing the universe
That's about it.
I've been hitting the audio books quite hard these days. Currently going through Conversations with God, which is very interesting.

They just raised $2M and are focused on bringing smaller scale industrial robots to small and medium sized businesses. | | Anatol Locker - all3dp.com Interesting idea. It looks like Sony might be interested in enabling millions of their Playstation users to be able to 3D Print characters from their video games. Presuming this all plays out in their favor, it brings out interesting implications about the traditional merchandising model. | | Telegraph Reporters - telegraph.co.uk Unfortunate accident. I have also used hairspray on a glass print bed to improve adhesion and I never thought of a potential spark igniting the can of hairspray. Also, looks like this kid bought a very low end 3D Printer on ebay (judging by the low price) with bad wiring/electrical issues. Very unfortunate accident. | | Fabbaloo - fabbaloo.com This is about Kniterate, which is an (unreleased) platform that's meant to make it simple for anyone to design and print garments at home without knowing how to knit. | | Pocket Maker - indiegogo.com This is a crowd funding campaign for a pocket 3D Printer made by a chinese manufacturer. It looks super small and I can't confirm it's efficacy, but it's certainly interesting. | | Team Owl Works - kickstarter.com Interesting Kickstarter (that's doing quite well). The idea is to release an affordable Resin printer for consumers at FDM prices. | | Sculpteo - sculpteo.com These guys 3D Printed the universe (not to scale obviously). If you are interested in obtaining the file(s), you can get those here. | Remember operator billing? Operator billing was once thought to be the perfect mobile commerce platform. But for various reasons, it failed to pick up traction. Learn why, and find out about the new future of m-commerce, here. | | | You are receiving this email because you believe that the best startup articles and videos are made by active members of the startup community.
