| | 3D Printing | October 06, 2017 | Hey you!
Hope you are doing well.
The world may appear screwed up due to recent events in Las Vegas etc., but please realize that in the grand scheme of things:
a.) this is the single greatest time to be alive b.) overall violence in the world is at the lowest
Speaking of "greatest time to be alive", hear of Cassini?
So, after 20-years in orbit, NASA's Cassini spacecraft burned up in Saturn's atmosphere (RIP) fairly recently (in September). Here's 100 images from the voyage.
If you are fascinated by space/astronomy (how can you not be?) -- It's mind blowing.
The other thing I wanted to share with you today relates to the spiritual practice of Kaihōgyō, where Japanese monks partake in a 1000 day (!) pilgrimage.
In over a century ONLY 50 monks have ever finished the pilgrimage, and traditionally, any monk who cannot complete it must take their own life.
Here's a short film based on the whole thing. It's quite incredible.
Ah yes!
This is a digest about 3D Printing after all :)
Good news is that the digest today is VERY LIGHT.
Enjoy!
Until next time, my friend. Dilanka

| | Beau Jackson - 3dprintingindustry.com So, this whole thing apparently started with someone posting on Reddit about how much they are disappointed in 3D Hubs. Then the whole thing escalated to a point where one of the founders of 3D Hubs (Bram) had to respond to the reddit thread.
Is it entertaining? Yes -- beware, lots of passionate comments ahead. | | General Fabb - fabbaloo.com FYI -- Lulzbot has announced that they are developing the Taz 7. | | | | |
