3D Printing | August 18, 2017 | Hey you.
Hope you enjoyed a quick break from 3D Printing last week.
I didn't write a digest because I couldn't find anything compelling/interesting.
This is unrelated (surprise!), but have you seen Wim Hof on Vice?
The guy is a monster and can withstand unbelievably cold temperatures. Not only that, turns out there are actual scientific benefits for forcing your body to experience cold temperatures.
I am thinking about trying out his breathing techniques in the near future. I'll report back if I find anything interesting.
Anyway, today, we'll be covering:
1.) Hackers targeting 3D printers 2.) 3D Printing in space 3.) Different 3D printing technologies 4.) Apple's new summer camp 5.) 3D printed prosthetics 6.) New feature in Fusion360
That's all you scalawag!
Until next time, my friend, Dilanka

| | Devin Coldewey - techcrunch.com This is VERY interesting. | | Mike Wall - scientificamerican.com This obviously ain't about a standard, consumer 3D Printer -- but the fact that there's a company working on this type of thing is f'ing cool.
Here's another piece on the same company (called Made In Space). | | Xometry - xometry.com This is a great video comparison of how an object looks/feels after 3D Printing it with different technologies. | | Lauren Goodie - theverge.com Other than this being a clever way to recruit talent, this is definitely useful for any geeky 8th grader.
| | Bill Gibron - adaliarose.com This is another cool case study on 3D Printed prosthetic limbs. | | Carlos Zotomayor - solidsmack.com Just in case you are using Fusion 360 (which is an excellent piece of CAD software), give this a try. | | | | |
